One day, centuries before the creation of the human race, was the Holy Heaven, where angels lived in harmony and love. But, one day, a powerful angel named Satan began a rebellion. Satan was the Master of the North of heavens and he leads his serfs (the angels from his domain and the 1/3 of the angels of the heavens) to a rebellion. Unfortunatly, Satan and the Northen armies lost the war and were condamned to live in Hell, the realm of desolation and pain.

But it is interressant to know how the hell was for the people of the dark medieval times. Also, the majority of the khristian demons were pagans gods demonized by holy priests to help the new religion to be accepted by the non-khristians nations.

Now, we must make the difference between a demon and a Devil. A demon is a being (a normal angel, but evil) without significative power in the Dark Realms. Demons are the common inhabitants of hell. Their mental capacities can be compared with those of humans. They are a little bit more powerful than humans and they are humanoids. Their skin is black as night, ¸and they have grey horns. They are 4 feet tall, have a wolf's dentition and long, sharp claws. Their vision is clear in the night. Common demons are called Demons of the 3rd order. They are very quick (2x as an human), they don't need to sleep. In a singular combat with an human, one thing is sure : the demon will win. But, demons have some weaknesses :
- Demons are the sons of Darkness. Like vampires, they die if they are exposed to the sunlight.
- Demons dies if they touch a crucifix and holy water.
- They can die like an human : major losses of blood etc... but they are never tired.

There is seven (7) kinds of demons : air, earth, fire, water, terrestrials (the only kind that live among the human race), ice and Hellish demons (The Fallen Angels, Angels of Darkness). The demon's description gived above is correct for earth and terrestrial demons, but the demons of ice are white, those of air are blue, those of water are grey and the infernal demons are red (as the human blood). All the demons have red glowing eyes.

But, how many demons live in the Realms of Hell? There is 666 legions of demons, and each legion is composed of 666 000 demons. There is 443 556 000 demons in hell and each demon have a life's esperance of 9720 human years.

The Devils are the Noble Demons, former powerful angels. There is two kinds of devils : the demons of the 2nd order and the devils, also named archdevils. Devils (arch and 2nd order) are very tall and powerful. They are red as fire and have big black horns. Generally, they are humanoids, but they can assume any form... Devils are very strong (10x than humans for the demons of the 2nd order and 20x for devils and archdevils) and very tall (6 to 20 feet). Each devil is a competent wizard.

The Hell is not only a land of fire. In fact, there is many realms in Hell, and each realm is ruled by an Archdevil who serve the Emperor of Hell, Belzebuth.

- The Realm of the Etrenal Night (ruled by Zarach'Baal'Tharagh, the Dark One) This is the Realm of darkness, and only the devils can live in this dark and cold land. The capital of the Realm is the Pandoemonium, and it is also the capital of the Empire.
